Zak started fishing as young has he can remember. In south Wales on the sandy beaches at pembrey fishing for flounders and bass probably at the age of 4 or 5. "I feel fishing is in my blood as my dad, grandad , great grandad and so on have always been fishermen". Zak took up competition fishing firstly in sea angling and was lucky enough to represent my Wales as a youth in the home nations for around 4 years. In this speell Zak managed a couple of team gold medals to boot. After this it was a few years before he really started match fishing on the coarse side, but the rest is history!
Zak is always striving to learn and become the best angler he can be.

Top tip from me is give 100 percent into the style of fishing you really want to strive at, and dont get despondent when you dont do as well as people around you ,as you learn a hell of alot more when you havent done it right, than you do when you win.
But most importantly stick at it as the old saying goes" rome wasnt built in a day" and were constantly learning
